amuro-medallion-round-rug-gundam-chair-mat
Amuro Medallion Round Rug - Gundam Chair Mat

This Gundam round rug puts a young pilot in a white-and-blue flight suit dead center, helmet tucked under one arm, with a towering white, blue and red mobile suit rising behind him. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a gold filigree medallion frame holds colony rings, fighter craft and spare helmets in mirrored panels around the rim.

A circle softens a square room in a way a rectangle never does. Pulled under a desk, it works as a chair mat that keeps the pilot's face clear of the casters. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair, the medallion reads like a small piece of stained glass laid on the floor.

The Design: Gold Filigree Space Medallion

Most space art leans on black and a few glowing lines. This one goes the other way, with deep navy as the ground and gold scrollwork carrying the whole composition, the way a cathedral window frames a saint. Red accents pick up the pilot's chest stripe and the mech's crest, while pale blue light streaks run along the outer ring like engine trails. Four fighters sit at the diagonals, each pointing inward. Between them, oval cutouts hold ring-shaped space colonies above the curve of Earth, and gold V emblems mark the compass points. Behind the pilot's boots, the planet glows blue-white against the starfield.

It is the calm, ceremonial side of the series rather than a battle scene, and that is what sets it apart. If this mood suits you, browse more Gundam rugs in the rugs for other moments from the same universe.

Amuro on the Floor

The rug is cut in a true circle, so the gold frame stays intact at every size. The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels pleasant underfoot and still lets a chair glide across it. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors, so the rug stays where you put it. It is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. The dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers, which keeps the navy deep and the gold bright wash after wash. As a gaming room rug, it gives a desk setup an anchor without cluttering the space. Pair it with a matching Gundam mouse pad and the gold and navy carry up onto the desk itself.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit a spot under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the pilot and mech stay visible. At 120 to 140 cm, the medallion fills a reading nook or a gaming corner with room to spare. The 160 and 180 cm sizes work as a round area rug at the center of a seating area, where the fine gold scrollwork gets the attention it deserves. Smaller diameters also make a handsome accent rug by a doorway.

Two levels are offered. Standart is solid everyday quality, while Premium adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.
