celestial-brush-round-rug-okami-chair-mat
Celestial Brush Round Rug - Okami Chair Mat

This Okami round rug puts a vermilion sun at the heart of a sweeping black ink circle, with a ring of small brush-stroke symbols orbiting it. The artwork is laid out for the circle itself, so the enso, the symbol ring and the flower-filled border share one center and nothing is cropped at the edge.

A circle reads differently on the floor than a rectangle does. It softens the hard corners of a square room and gives a desk setup a clear middle. Under a gaming chair it doubles as a chair mat, marking out exactly where your setup lives.

The Design: Ink, Sun and Blossom

Nobody is posing here. The star of this piece is the brush itself. The palette stays tight and warm: ink black, vermilion, cream, antique gold and a wash of indigo blue, all set in the manner of an old woodblock print. Around the cream medallion, a black field is crowded with white chrysanthemums, pink cherry blossoms, red camellias, bamboo leaves and curling white-capped waves, while pale gray clouds drift into the corners.

Inside the medallion, small round emblems circle the enso: a sun, a flame, a snowflake, a crescent moon with stars, a mountain, a wind swirl, a leafy sprig, a blossom, a slash mark and a wave. Fans of the game will read them as the celestial brush strokes. Everyone else will see a quiet catalog of nature and weather. If you collect the series, more rugs from the Okami line sit alongside this one, each built around its own scene.

Celestial Brush on the Floor

The round cut follows the border exactly, so the cream rim with its red camellia vine frames the rug like a lacquered plate. The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels gentle underfoot and lies flat. A rubber backing grips hard floors, and the non-slip hold keeps the enso centered even when a chair swivels across it. Care is easy because the rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. Dye-sublimation printing sets the colors into the fibers, which keeps that red sun bold wash after wash.

In a console corner it works as a gaming room rug with a calm, painterly mood. Beside a bed it makes a bedroom rug that feels more like a scroll painting than a poster.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″). The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit a spot under a desk chair or beside a bed, where they work as a small accent rug. Go to 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a corner of a kids' play area. At 160 to 180 cm it becomes a true round area rug that can anchor a seating area, with the whole symbol ring visible from the sofa.

Two levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for heavy daily traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry. The printed colors are set into the fibers, so the red sun keeps its depth.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate, so the enso stays put under a rolling chair.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. That makes it an easy way to define a gaming spot in a carpeted room.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 100 cm for under a desk chair, 140 cm for a nook and 180 cm for the middle of a living room. The ring of symbols stays crisp at every size.

A Gaming Corner Statement

Okami fans who want the ink-and-sun look of the Celestial Brush on the floor, not just on a screen.

Console players building a themed corner can browse the wider gaming rug range to mix and match the rest of the room.

Lovers of Japanese art who like cherry blossoms, camellias and crashing waves in one composition.

Desk setups where you can pair this rug with a matching Okami mouse pad, so the red sun repeats on the desktop.
