eva-00-prototype-playmat-evangelion-mtg-mat
EVA-00 Prototype Playmat - Evangelion MTG Mat

Evangelion Unit-00 faces forward with its single green eye glowing, yellow and white armor filling the center of this EVA-00 MTG playmat. Orange watercolor paper and faded schematics spread behind it. EVA-00 is stenciled in huge letters across the top.

Warm orange, amber and yellow give it a sunny, vintage feel, balanced by blue on the chest and dark grey pylons on both shoulders. Technical panels run down the sides where your piles will sit. The eye in the middle is what everyone notices first.

The Art: Orange Prototype Schematic

Paper stains and color blooms make the background feel like an old, well-handled design document. Labels, grids and line drawings of the entry plug and pallet rifle fill the side panels in brown ink. Armor plates are painted in loose layers of yellow and white, with dark outlines holding them together. Next to our EVA-01 schematic it makes a natural pair for two-player games at home.

EVA-00 at the Table

Measuring 24 x 14 in (60 x 35 cm), standard tournament size, it suits FNM tables and kitchen tables alike. Cards move smoothly across the micro-fiber top and lift without snagging. Its non-slip rubber base holds steady when someone bumps the table. Thanks to dye-sublimation printing, the art lives in the fabric and won't crack or fade.

With Zones or Without Zones

Choosing the MTG playmat with zones version gives you light guides for library, graveyard, exile and the command zone, along with battlefield lanes for lands and creatures. It handles Commander and EDH as a commander playmat and works for 60-card play. Without zones, nothing sits on top of the art.

A Gift for Unit-00 Fans

Rei Ayanami fans and Evangelion collectors

Anime fans who bring their love of mecha to the table

Artifact and construct Commander players

Friends who want a matching pair with the EVA-01 mat
