nu-gundam-funnel-round-rug-gundam-chair-mat
Nu Gundam Funnel Round Rug - Gundam Chair Mat

The Nu Gundam rises at the center of this Gundam round rug, white armor catching the glow of an emerald ring above a curve of Earth, with its long fin funnels fanned out behind one shoulder. The whole artwork is laid out for the circle: a scalloped medallion window holds the suit and its asteroid field, and a ring of gold filigree runs all the way to the edge.

A circle behaves differently on the floor than a rectangle does. It softens the hard corners of a desk area, sits neatly under a rolling chair and gives a gaming corner a clear center to build around. Because the artwork reads the same from every angle, it also works as a chair mat for anyone who spins around at a desk.

The Design: Filigree Frame, Orbital Scene

This piece borrows the logic of an illuminated carpet and fills it with mecha hardware. Crisp anime linework gives the Nu Gundam sharp panels of ivory, navy and gold, with red accents on the chest and shield, while the scene behind it glows in deep blue and emerald green. A jagged asteroid drifts past its left shoulder and Earth curves along the bottom edge.

Then comes the frame. Scalloped gold filigree, tiny red blossoms and four-point stars wrap the medallion, and the roundels hold green star bursts, drifting colony cylinders and racks of funnel units. Gold V crests at the top and bottom echo the V-fin on the helmet. Nothing here follows the usual poster layout of a hero against a flat backdrop, and that is the point. Collectors who want other suits and other moods can browse the rest of our Gundam rugs.

Nu Gundam on the Floor

The round cut follows the artwork exactly, so the border is never chopped off at the edges. The soft plush low-pile surface feels gentle underfoot, yet it stays flat enough for a chair to glide across. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors like wood, tile and laminate. When the rug needs freshening, it is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle and then air-dried. A dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers, so the navy and gold stay deep instead of sitting on top of the surface.

As a round area rug it anchors a room without fuss. Placed in a gaming room rug role, it frames the chair and the desk like a landing pad for the suit.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available: 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm, which is 31.5″ up to 70.9″. The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit a spot under a desk chair or beside a bed. Choose 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a hobby corner where you want the funnels and border icons to be easy to read. The 160 and 180 cm sizes can serve as the center of a seating area.

Two levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for heavier traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the gold and navy of the print will stay put because the colors are set into the fibers.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the rug stays in place when a desk chair rolls across the edge.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The medallion keeps its shape, and the border stays crisp.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 to 100 cm for a tight desk space and 120 cm or larger if you want the full border to show. The detail in the filigree and the funnels rewards a bigger circle.

A Gunpla Shelf Statement

Gundam fans who want an accent rug under the desk that looks like a piece of art from the series.

Desk setup builders who plan to pair the rug with a matching Gundam mouse pad for a coordinated space.

Model kit collectors who need a handsome floor piece for a shelf-lined hobby room.

Anime collectors who like to build out a room, with the wider anime rug range a short step away.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/nu-gundam-funnel-round-rug-gundam-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792767706
