winged-earth-round-rug-gundam-chair-mat
Winged Earth Round Rug - Gundam Chair Mat

A planet hangs at the center of this Gundam round rug, held between two ivory wings under a four-point gold star, and the whole composition is laid out for the circle. Mobile suit helmets, white starships, red-white-blue fighters and ring-shaped colonies orbit it in tidy bands across a midnight-navy field.

Orbits drive this scene, so a circle suits it. It softens the corners of a square room and gives a console corner a clear focal point. Under a desk, the smaller sizes work as a chair mat with something worth looking down at between matches.

The Design: Stained-Glass Space Crest

Think of a cathedral rose window, only the glass is deep space. Navy dominates, gold linework traces every arch, and red accents pool in the corners like panels of colored glass. The middle is calm: a blue-and-green Earth with white cloud swirls, a gold star above and below, feathered wings spreading to either side and laurel branches curling underneath. Past that quiet core, the roundels hold the cast, with teal-visored helmets and pale battleships facing each other across the circle. Crescent-and-star emblems mark the compass points. Tiny moons fill the gaps, and a gold vine border closes the edge.

This is a heraldic crest rather than an action shot, which is what sets it apart. If the formal, symmetrical look speaks to you, other Gundam rugs in the shop take the series in very different directions.

Gundam on the Floor

The cut is a true circle with a soft plush low-pile surface that feels good under bare feet or socks. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors, so wood, tile and laminate stay put. You can run it through the washer, because it is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle followed by air-drying. Dye-sublimation printing sets the navy, gold and red into the fibers, which keeps the fine linework crisp. It also lies flat over low-pile carpet.

Used as a gaming room rug, it anchors the setup without competing with your monitors. At the larger diameters it behaves like a round area rug that defines a whole seating zone. Smaller ones play the part of an accent rug beside a bed or a display shelf.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available: 80 cm (31.5″), 100 cm, 120 cm, 140 cm, 160 cm and 180 cm (70.9″). Choose 80 to 100 cm under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the central Earth stays visible around the chair legs. Go for 120 to 140 cm in a reading nook or hobby corner, so the ring of ships and helmets shows in full. Pick 160 to 180 cm to make the crest the center of a living space.

Two levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality for busy rooms. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the gold and navy printing stays sharp.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so a rolling desk chair will not drag the crest out of place.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The border and wings stay clean-edged against the carpet beneath.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 100 cm for a desk and 140 cm for a corner where the whole ring of ships should show.
