crimson-lance-round-rug-evangelion-chair-mat
Crimson Lance Round Rug - Evangelion Chair Mat

This Evangelion round rug builds its whole composition around a red lance on black, repeated eight times around a cream disc, and the artwork is laid out for the circle from the center to the rim. At the heart sits half a crimson leaf on pale parchment, the other half left blank. Around it, spears, crescent moons, faceted red crystals and eye-in-triangle seals march outward in a ring.

A circle softens a square room in a way a rectangle never does. Slide it under a desk and it works as a chair mat that keeps its shape while you swivel. Set it beside a bed and the medallion becomes the first thing you see in the morning.

The Design: Red Lance Medallion

Think inlaid marble or an illuminated manuscript rather than a poster. The ground is deep black, and the palette stays tight: blood red, burnt orange hexagons, antique gold scrollwork and one pool of cream in the middle. Gold filigree curls between the motifs like vines. The half leaf is the quiet detail, a single red shape cut cleanly down the center line, and it gives the piece a hush that louder Evangelion art lacks. Eight red lances point inward from the border, four crescent moons sit on the diagonals, and four-pointed stars mark the gaps between them. Fans who want more of the series can browse other Neon Genesis Evangelion rugs in the same collection.

Crimson Lance on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good under bare feet and stays flat enough for a chair to glide across. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate. When a spill or a season of dust arrives, the rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. The print is dye-sublimation, so the colors are set into the fibers rather than sitting on top. Dark and warm, it makes a natural gaming room rug under a setup lit by a few red accents. At larger sizes it reads as a round area rug that anchors a whole seating corner. The smallest diameters work as an accent rug beside a bed or a shelf.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available: 80 cm (31.5″), 100 cm (39.4″), 120 cm (47.2″), 140 cm (55.1″), 160 cm (63″) and 180 cm (70.9″). Pick 80 or 100 cm for under a desk chair or beside a bed. Go 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a corner of the room. Choose 160 or 180 cm when the rug should be the center of a seating area, where the full ring of lances has room to breathe.

Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, a good call for a chair that moves all day.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry; the print is set into the fibers, so the reds and blacks stay rich.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the rug stays under your chair instead of wandering.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The black ground also makes the red lances stand out against a lighter carpet.

Which size should I choose?

For this design, 120 cm and up lets the outer border and the lances read clearly. Go smaller only when the rug is meant to sit under a chair.

A Crimson Room Statement

Evangelion fans who want the series in their room without a character in the middle of the floor.

Desk and streaming setups where black and red already run the color scheme.

Collectors who already browse the anime rug collection and want an ornamental piece among the characters.

Gift buyers shopping for someone who knows the lance on sight, who can pair it with a matching Evangelion mouse pad for the desk.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/crimson-lance-round-rug-evangelion-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792763453
