fellowship-map-playmat-lotr-mtg-magic-mat
Fellowship Map Playmat - LOTR MTG Magic Mat

An old parchment map of Middle-earth stretches across this Fellowship MTG playmat, and the Company walks right over it. Gandalf leads on the far right with his staff and pointed hat, Aragorn trails at the back, and between them come the hobbits, Gimli with his axe, Legolas, Boromir and Bill the pony. Arnor, Rohan, Gondor and Mordor spread out behind them in brown ink.

Warm tan and sepia cover the whole surface, so sleeved cards of any color read clearly on top. Black silhouettes run along the bottom edge like a frieze. That keeps the upper two thirds open and quiet, right where your battlefield sits.

The Art: Ink Map, Marching Company

Loose watercolor stains and a few gold flecks age the paper, while forests, ridges and rivers are drawn in tidy pen strokes the way Tolkien's own maps were. Region names like Mirkwood, Fangorn, Lórien and Rohan are easy to spot. Smaller labels are hand-lettered and partly playful rather than a faithful atlas, so treat it as an art map, not a reference sheet. Silhouettes are painted in wet black ink that bleeds slightly into the ground.

The Fellowship at the Table

Size is 24 x 14 in (60 x 35 cm), standard tournament size. Cards slide and lift clean off the micro-fiber top. A non-slip rubber base keeps the mat in place through long Commander nights. We print with dye-sublimation, so the parchment tones are set into the fabric and will not crack or fade. It belongs to our MTG play mats line, and our flagship Lord of the Rings playmat carries the same theme in another scene. It works as a commander playmat and for 60-card formats. Without Zones keeps the whole map clear.

A Gift for Map Readers

Tales of Middle-earth players who want the journey on the table

Commander groups running Fellowship or party themes

Tolkien readers who flip to the map before chapter one

Card art collectors who like sepia, ink and parchment

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/fellowship-map-playmat-lotr-mtg-magic-mat-1.webp?v=1791363166
