l-toybox-round-rug-death-note-chair-mat
L Toybox Round Rug - Death Note Chair Mat

L sits crouched on bare feet in a loose white shirt, one finger twisting a strand of unruly hair, while a toybox's worth of robots, steam trains, propeller planes and dice drifts around him. This Death Note round rug lays the whole scene out for the circle: the detective at the center, a Persian-style ring of blue-gray acanthus scrollwork around him, and a border of dice and puzzle pieces running along the rim. The palette stays cream, slate blue and dusty red, with small gold stars scattered through the field.

A circle gives the scene nowhere to hide. Under a desk it works as a chair mat, so the seat glides across a clean round of artwork instead of a rectangle with dead corners. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair, it softens the straight lines of a square room and gives the eye one calm place to land.

The Design: Toybox Meets Scrollwork

The idea here is contrast. L is drawn in fine pale linework, almost the same cream as the ground, so he seems to sit inside the pattern rather than on top of it. Around him, the ornament borrows the symmetry of an old carpet, but the motifs are childhood things: tin robots in blue cartouches at the left and right, puzzle pieces in the cartouches above and below, and slim towers of dice standing like columns at the four corners of the inner field.

Red-and-white propeller planes sit on the diagonals, and two little steam locomotives face each other across the middle. Small flecks of gold and worn texture give the whole thing a faded, well-loved look. If the quiet, puzzle-box side of the series is your favorite, you can find more Death Note round rugs with very different moods.

L on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels pleasant under bare feet and stays flat enough for a rolling chair. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the circle stays where you put it. The rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. Colors are applied with a dye-sublimation print that sets them into the fibers, which keeps the thin hair strands and the tiny dots on every die sharp.

It suits a study corner, a bedroom or any room where the owner likes a little mystery. Pair it with a matching Death Note mouse pad and the desk and the floor tell the same story.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″), so the toys and the border can scale to the room. The 80 and 100 cm sizes fit under a desk chair or beside a bed, and the small sizes also work as an accent rug by a bookshelf. At 120 and 140 cm the design fills a reading nook or a corner of a kids' room, and L stays close to eye level when you walk past. The 160 and 180 cm sizes become a proper round area rug at the center of a seating area, with the whole ornamental ring visible.

Two quality levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality for daily use. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for heavier traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the printed colors, including the pale linework around L, stay put.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No, the rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate. Under a desk chair it holds its position even when the seat swivels.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The scrollwork border keeps its crisp edge there, so the circle still reads clearly.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 to 100 cm for a desk or bedside, and 120 to 140 cm for a nook where you want to see the little robots and trains. Go to 160 to 180 cm if you want the full carpet-style ring in the middle of a room.

A L Corner Statement

Death Note fans who like the calm, clue-hunting side of the story more than the drama.

Anyone building a desk setup who wants a round mat under the chair, with the wider anime rug range to browse for the rest of the room.

A bedroom rug for a teen or adult collector who prefers soft color over loud posters.

A gift for a friend who grew up with the series and still keeps a puzzle or two on the shelf.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/l-toybox-round-rug-death-note-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792761787
