mareep-lighthouse-round-rug-pokemon-chair-mat
Mareep Lighthouse Round Rug - Pokemon Chair Mat

Mareep stands in a scalloped blue medallion at the center of this Pokemon round rug, cream fleece puffed out, yellow-and-black striped ears on either side and a red-tipped tail glowing behind. Around the medallion the artwork spreads in a ring of four lighthouses, wooden fences, blue yarn balls and curling green vines on a parchment ground. Everything is laid out for the circle, so the pattern repeats evenly from the middle to the deep teal edge.

A circle changes how a pattern reads on the floor. It softens the hard corners of a square room, gives a reading nook a clear center and sits comfortably beside a bed. The medallion stays easy to spot from the doorway.

The Design: Johto Storybook Medallion

The art looks closer to an illuminated manuscript or an old glazed tile than to a flat anime screenshot. Soft watercolor texture runs through the cream ground, and thin gold linework traces every vine, scallop and star. The palette is butter yellow and cream, teal-navy, sage green and patches of sky blue, with ruby-red orbs placed like jewels along the border. Small yellow lightning bolts drift around Mareep as a quiet nod to its Electric typing, while the lighthouses point back to Johto, where many fans first met this sheep. Nothing here shouts. That calm is what sets it apart from the louder pieces you will find among more rugs from the Pokemon rugs.

Mareep on the Floor

The round cut gives you a clean circle with no corners to curl. A soft plush low-pile surface feels warm underfoot, and the non-slip rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate so the rug stays where you put it. It is machine washable, which means a gentle cold cycle and an air-dry when it needs a refresh. The dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers instead of sitting on top, so the gold linework stays crisp. Used as a Pokemon chair mat, the 100 cm size slides under a desk chair and still shows the whole medallion. A kids room rug with this much to find keeps little ones busy: count the lighthouses, then spot every yarn ball.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available: 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm, from 31.5″ up to 70.9″. The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit the space under a desk chair or beside a bed, and they make a sweet accent rug by a dresser. Choose 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a kids' corner, where the medallion can sit right in the middle of the play space. At 160 and 180 cm it works as a round area rug under a small seating group. Two levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality, while Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry, and the teal border and gold details come out looking the way they went in.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No, the rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate. That matters for a desk setup, where a chair rolls over the edge all day.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The medallion stays clear of the carpet texture, so Mareep still reads well.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 100 cm for a desk or bedside, 120 to 140 cm for a nook, and 160 to 180 cm if you want the border to frame a seating area.

A Mareep Fan Statement

Pokemon fans who love Johto and want a calm, storybook piece instead of a loud poster-style print.

Parents setting up a kid's bedroom or reading corner with sheep, yarn and lighthouses to point at.

Desk and gaming setups, where you can pair the rug with Pokemon mouse pads so the workspace shares one theme.

Collectors who already own other series and want to add this to the wider anime rug collection they are building.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/mareep-lighthouse-round-rug-pokemon-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792774426
