mothra-hibiscus-round-rug-godzilla-chair-mat
Mothra Hibiscus Round Rug - Godzilla Chair Mat

Mothra spreads her orange-and-black wings across the whole disc, red and gold eyespots glowing and blue eyes fixed straight ahead. This Godzilla round rug is laid out for the circle, with the moth dead center and every ring of ornament turning around her. A teal border of hibiscus blossoms, palm fronds and cocoon-shaped eggs frames the scene.

A circle behaves differently on a floor. It softens the hard corners of a square room, settles under a desk as a chair mat, or lands beside a bed where bare feet find it first. Because Mothra is perfectly symmetrical, the rug looks right from any side, so nobody has to worry about which way it faces.

The Design: Moth in Ornate Rings

Picture an illuminated manuscript crossed with a kaiju poster. The border borrows the layered logic of a tiled mandala, yet the center belongs to the giant moth from the Godzilla films. Her forewings run saffron, black and burnt orange, and each wing carries a ringed eyespot in red and yellow. Tiny moths and egg shapes repeat around the rim, a quiet nod to her life cycle. Against the deep teal ground the warm colors really glow. If one design is not enough, more Godzilla rugs share the same collection.

Mothra on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good underfoot and keeps the fine linework crisp. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate. The dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers, so the oranges and teals do not sit on top like a sticker. When it gets dusty or scuffed, it is machine washable. Plenty of fans will want it as a gaming room rug under the setup. Smaller sizes also work as an accent rug beside a bookshelf or a display shelf.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available: 80 cm (31.5″), 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm (70.9″). Choose 80 or 100 cm under a desk chair or beside a bed. Pick 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a kids' corner. At 160 and 180 cm it becomes a true round area rug that can sit at the center of a seating area, with the wings visible from across the room. Two quality levels are on offer. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it flat; the printed colors stay set in the fibers.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so Mothra stays put even when a chair rolls over the edge.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. Keep it for flat or low-pile surfaces rather than deep shag.

Which size should I choose?

Go 80 or 100 cm for under a desk chair, 120 or 140 cm for a nook, and 160 or 180 cm to center a seating area. Mothra's wingspan fills the circle, so the larger sizes show off more of the border detail.

A Kaiju Corner Statement

Godzilla fans who have always rooted for Mothra over the bigger monsters.

Collectors who like film art with a decorative, mandala-style twist, who can also browse the movie and pop culture rug collection for more.

Desk setups, where the rug works well alongside matching Godzilla mouse pads for a complete themed corner.

A gift for someone who grew up watching monster movies on Saturday afternoons.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/mothra-hibiscus-round-rug-godzilla-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792786367
