ramiel-starlit-round-rug-evangelion-chair-mat
Ramiel Starlit Round Rug - Evangelion Chair Mat

Ramiel floats at the center of this Evangelion round rug as a deep blue octahedron circled by one thin ring of light, with tiny four-point stars scattered across a midnight field around it. The artwork is laid out for the circle: every band, from the faceted diamond border to the cream scrollwork, closes back on itself with no seam and no cropped corner.

A circle changes how a room reads. It softens the hard edges of a desk area, gives a chair room to glide, and settles beside a bed like a small pool of cobalt. Slid under a gaming setup, it works as a tidy chair mat that frames the whole workspace.

The Design: Tilework Meets Angel

Instead of a battle scene, this piece borrows the look of a glazed ceramic plate. The palette stays tight. Cobalt and navy carry the border and the core, warm cream fills the wide middle ring, and four small orange octagons act as hot sparks against all that cool blue. Crescent moons sit left and right, while little halo ovals mark the top and bottom, so the rug echoes the angel's ring without shouting about it.

Look closer and the details multiply. Pale blue scrollwork curls through the cream band, a triangle mosaic circles the center, and faceted crystal diamonds repeat around the outer rim. The painterly, slightly watercolor texture keeps it far from clean vector clip art. Fans who want their references subtle enough to pass as decor will get it right away, and if the Angels are your thing, the other Neon Genesis Evangelion rugs show very different takes on the series.

Ramiel on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good underfoot and stays flat, so chair wheels and bare feet cross it easily. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate. The dye-sublimation print sets the color into the fibers, which keeps the cobalt deep and the orange crisp. When dust or crumbs gather, it is machine washable: a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry.

As a gaming room rug it anchors a dark, LED-lit corner nicely, since the blues pick up cool lighting. Pair it with a matching Evangelion mouse pad and the desk and the floor tell the same story.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″). The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit the space under a desk chair or beside a bed. The 120 and 140 cm sizes fill a reading nook or a small bedroom corner, and they give the medallion enough width to read clearly. At 160 to 180 cm the whole piece becomes the center of a seating area, and the border can be admired from across the room. Two levels are offered: Standart Level for solid everyday quality, and Premium Level with a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the blue-and-cream print stays sharp.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the circle stays put even when a chair rolls across its edge.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. The round outline of the medallion stays crisp against the carpet around it.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 to 100 cm for a desk or bedside, 120 to 140 cm for a nook, and 160 to 180 cm if you want the full tile border to show around furniture.

A Cobalt Corner Statement

Evangelion fans who like the fifth Angel and want a quieter nod than a poster.

Streamers and gamers who need a desk-side rug that matches cool lighting.

Anyone who loves blue-and-white tilework and wants an accent rug with a story, or a gift for a friend who grew up with the series.

Shoppers building a shelf of the wider anime rug range for a bedroom or den.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0945/8830/5694/files/ramiel-starlit-round-rug-evangelion-chair-mat-3.webp?v=1792764361
