Two sea serpents rear out of a crashing wave, red on the left and blue on the right, locked in a standoff at the heart of this Gyarados Pokemon TCG playmat. The Water and Flying dragons coil over a churning Hokusai-style sea while a whole school of Magikarp tumbles below. The red one is the Shiny form; its blue twin is the standard.
Deep indigo and crimson split the table down the middle, classic ukiyo-e contrast. The two roaring heads pull your eye to the top, then the foam and fish carry it back down.
The Art: A Kanto Great Wave
Painted in the spirit of the famous great-wave print, the foam was built up in layered white crests with fine gold accents catching the spray. Both serpents show the barbel whiskers and crest fins that mark the species, so the Shiny coloring never muddles the read. Cherry branches, pagodas, a bridge and a crossed-swords seal frame the scene with old-Japan flavor, while the panicked Magikarp below nod to where every Gyarados begins.
Gyarados at the Table
Big art, real function. The 24 x 14 in (60 x 35 cm) standard tournament size gives a full deck, prize and discard layout plenty of room. Cards glide across the micro-fiber top and lift away cleanly, and the non-slip rubber base grips the table when the game heats up. Dye-sublimation drives the color into the fabric, so the reds and blues stay rich and the print shrugs off cracking and fade.
With Zones or Without Zones
Your call on layout. With zones lays down faint guides for active, bench, deck, discard and prize cards, a steady frame for aggressive turns. Without zones hands you the full great-wave scene with nothing breaking the art, great for display or a minimalist setup.
