The Design: Persian Dojo Medallion

The idea here is a mash-up. Instead of a comic panel, the artist built the turtle into an ornate tile-work medallion, the kind you would expect in a palace courtyard. The center field is a bright sky blue packed with gold vines, pink cherry blossoms, tiny crescent moons and silver shuriken stars. Leonardo sits in the middle of it, green and confident, with a slight smirk under that blue mask.

Look at the outer ring and the jokes start to show. Pizza slices sit in gold frames, lit candles glow in small arched niches, sewer grates mark the left and right edges, and shell emblems anchor the top and bottom. Blue bandana knots and tiny crossed swords fill the gaps between them. The palette stays disciplined: deep navy, cobalt, warm gold, blossom pink and leaf green. Nothing here looks like a standard cartoon print.

Leonardo on the Floor
