Two peacocks stand mirrored at the base of a climbing tree of life, their long tails unfurling into a field of stitched roses, tulips and pomegranates on deep teal. This peacock mahjong mat borrows the layered symmetry of a William Morris tapestry, all worked in gold, rust and forest green. The border alone tells its own story of scrolling acanthus.
Set out on the table, the dark ground does something useful. Tiles read crisp against it, and ivory racks seem to float. Guests notice the birds first, then the small blossoms tucked between the vines, then the way the whole thing frames four hands of play without ever feeling busy at the center.
