This retro floral mahjong mat runs on a 1970s palette of browns and warm tans, with a scalloped inner frame and a wavy ribbon border. It has the calm, symmetrical feel of an inlaid tabletop.
Laid out for play, the warm neutrals make an easy backdrop. Tiles sit clearly against the cream ground, and the central medallion gives the table a natural focal point. Guests catch the big flower first, then the scallop trim, then the tidy corner blooms that keep four hands framed.
The Art: Wood-Grain Bloom
The design mimics marquetry, flat floral shapes shaded like grained wood, arranged in strict symmetry around a central rosette. Chocolate and toffee anchor it; cream lifts it.
