Product Description
Wings flared wide and red against a churning grey-blue sky, Salamence twists through the storm at the center of this Salamence Pokemon TCG playmat. The Dragon and Flying pseudo-legend looks caught mid-bank, that blunt blue head and the star-point crest unmistakable. Currents spin around it like a whirlpool of wind.
Crimson and slate fight for the table here, and it works. The red wings cut a hard diagonal through cool blue washes, so the eye snaps straight to the dragon before drifting out to the koi and rune stones at the rim.
The Art: A Sky Torn Open
White ink spirals were drawn over deep watercolor to fake the rush of moving air, and the storm clouds blur exactly where pigment pooled and dried. Carved rune stones, pine branches and shards of ice frame the corners, hinting at the high mountain habitat the species favors. Red blooms in the water echo the wing color and keep the composition tied together.
