Splinter Candlelit Round Rug - TMNT Chair Mat

Master Splinter stands at the center of this TMNT round rug, both hands resting on his wooden cane, his crimson robe the brightest thing on a teal field. The whole scene is laid out for the circle like a Persian carpet, with the sensei in the middle and every ornament repeating around him. Blossoms drift between the gold scrollwork.

A circle gives this medallion room to breathe, since there are no corners to cut the pattern short. It softens a square room, tucks under a desk chair without edges catching, and gives a reading nook a calm focal point. Splinter faces forward, so the rug reads correctly from whichever side you walk in.

The Design: Sensei in Persian Bloom

The art borrows the language of a Persian carpet and fills it with the Turtles' world. Splinter's cane, whiskers and pink tail are drawn with a careful ink line, while the field around him is a deep teal packed with cherry blossoms, bonsai trees, crescent moons and curling incense smoke. Four gold cartouches hold the colored bandanas: blue and purple up top, red and orange below. Two turtle shells anchor the top and bottom, and a pair of round sewer grates sit left and right, a quiet nod to the lair. Candles glow in the remaining frames, and a burgundy border of tiny flames and blossoms closes the circle. It is a warm, jewel-toned palette of crimson, teal, gold and rose, closer to a family heirloom than a poster, and that is what sets it apart from the brighter action designs in the catalog.

Splinter on the Floor

The cut is a true circle with a soft plush, low-pile surface that feels good underfoot and keeps the dense ornament crisp. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors, so the rug stays where you put it under desk chairs and bare feet. Machine washable is the headline for daily life: a gentle cold cycle and an air dry bring it back fresh. The print is dye-sublimation, which sets the colors into the fibers instead of sitting on top, so the crimson and teal stay rich wash after wash. It suits a study, a bedroom or a den where you want the pattern to be the star.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters run from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″). The 80 and 100 cm sizes fit under a desk chair or beside a bed, and the 80 cm one works as a chair mat that stays put. At 120 and 140 cm the medallion fills a reading nook or a kids' corner, where the small details are close enough to study. The 160 and 180 cm sizes act as a round area rug at the center of a seating area, with the sensei right under the coffee table. Smaller ones also serve well as an accent rug by the bed.

• Standart Level: solid everyday quality for desks, bedrooms and hallways.
• Premium Level: thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for the busiest spots.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the dense crimson border and teal field keep their color.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate, so the sensei stays centered under your chair.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes. It lies flat over low-pile carpet, and the circular edge stays neat around the medallion.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 to 100 cm for under a desk or by a bed, 120 to 140 cm for a nook, and 160 to 180 cm when the rug should anchor the room.
