Fatalis Eclipse Round Rug - Monster Hunter Chair Mat

A black dragon rises at the center of this Monster Hunter round rug, wings flung wide beneath a blood-red sky and a dark eclipse. Ruined castle towers crowd the horizon behind it. The artwork is laid out for the circle, with the beast filling an inner medallion and a ring of crowns, spires and fleur motifs wrapped around the rim.

Circles do something squares cannot. They soften the hard corners of a room and give a floor one clear focal point. Slide this one under a desk chair and it works as a chair mat with a gentler feel than bare plastic; set it beside a bed and the dragon becomes the first thing you see in the morning.

The Design: Eclipse Over Ruined Towers

This piece reads like an old illuminated manuscript that caught fire. The dragon is drawn in charcoal and slate scales, with a pale bronze strip of belly plates running down its chest, and its wing membranes fade from black into ember orange where the sky shows through. Behind it, broken arches and spired keeps sit in a haze of red, all lit by a small black sun. Dark. Heavy. Quietly menacing.

The border is where this design departs from most dragon art. Oxblood fleur shapes and gold vine work circle a black field, and small shields hold tiny crowns, castle gates and winged silhouettes at every compass point. The palette stays tight: charcoal, oxblood, antique gold and a touch of parchment. If this beast is your kind of monster, you can browse more rugs from the Monster Hunter line and see how the other hunts look on the floor.

Fatalis on the Floor

The rug is cut in a true circle, with a soft plush low-pile surface that feels good under bare feet and sits flat on the floor. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the dragon stays put when you walk across it. It is machine washable too, which matters when a rug lives under a desk and collects snack crumbs. Color comes from a dye-sublimation print, so the reds and golds are set into the fibers rather than sitting on top. As a gaming room rug it gives a console corner a proper centerpiece.

Pair it with a Monster Hunter mouse pad on the desk above and the whole corner shares one mood.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) up to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. The 80 and 100 cm sizes fit under a desk chair or beside a bed, and at that scale the piece works as a bold accent rug. Step up to 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a hobby corner where the whole border can show. Choose 160 or 180 cm when you want the dragon at the center of a seating area, with furniture legs resting on the black outer ring.

Two quality levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level has a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, which suits a spot with heavy foot traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry, and the dark reds and golds stay rich because the dye is set into the fibers.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the dragon stays where you put it.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. That makes it easy to anchor a desk area even when the room is carpeted.

Which size should I choose?

For a desk chair, pick 80 or 100 cm so the dragon stays visible around the chair. For a centerpiece under a seating area, go to 160 or 180 cm.
