Horus Eclipse Round Rug - Warhammer 40K Chair Mat

This Warhammer 40K round rug puts a bald warlord in green and gold plate at the center, a blood-red eclipse burning behind his head and a gothic cathedral skyline dissolving into smoke. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a gold-ringed portrait in the middle, then a teal band of snarling wolves, winged eagle crests, slit-pupil eyes and curved claws that runs all the way to the edge.

A circle changes how a dark, heavy design sits in a room. It softens the hard corners of a desk area, gives a gaming chair a defined home, and turns a bare patch of floor beside the bed into a small shrine to the grim future. Used as a chair mat, it keeps the whole portrait visible around the base of the seat.

The Design: Eclipse and Wolf Heraldry

Everything here is built around the red sun. The figure stands low in the frame, shoulders wide, a heavy fur mantle draped over green armor that carries a glowing eye on the chest plate. One gauntlet ends in long lightning claws, the other grips a spiked mace, and a chain of tiny skulls hangs from his belt. Behind him the sky is a bruise of crimson and black, with spires standing against it like teeth.

The border does the storytelling. Four wolf heads snarl from the diagonal points, four red shields hold golden eagles with spread wings, and the gaps between them fill with crossed claw blades and mace heads inside curling gilt vines. Around the outer black ring, crescent moons alternate with watchful red eyes. The palette stays tight: deep teal, antique gold, blood red and near-black. It reads like an illuminated manuscript for a war that never ends, and it looks different from the lighter, brighter pieces in the rest of the catalog.

Horus on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels pleasant underfoot and lets a chair glide without catching. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the circle stays where you put it. The print is dye-sublimation, which sets the color into the fibers, so the deep reds and teals do not sit on top like a sticker. Care is simple: it is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried.

Because the center portrait is the focal point, this piece suits a gaming room rug role best, though it works just as well as a round area rug in a den or a bedroom with dark walls.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5") to 180 cm (70.9"). Choose 80 to 100 cm for a spot under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the portrait stays readable at close range. Pick 120 to 140 cm for a hobby corner or a painting nook. Go to 160 to 180 cm if you want the border of wolves and eagles to anchor the center of a seating area.

Two quality levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality for regular use. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for heavy traffic and daily chair movement.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Run it on a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the dark teal and red stay deep.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the wolves and eagles stay put even when a chair rolls over the edge.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes. The low-pile surface lies flat over low-pile carpet, so the portrait stays crisp and the edge does not curl up.

Which size should I choose?

Take 100 cm for a desk chair and 140 cm or more if you want the full heraldic border to show around the furniture.
