Orbital Ring Round Rug - Halo Chair Mat

A tilted ringworld hangs in a field of stars, its inner surface patched with green forest, blue water and snow-capped peaks, while a small blue planet glows just above it. This Halo round rug is laid out for the circle, so the ring sits dead center and the ornate border wraps around it like a frame on an old star chart.

Floors are mostly corners and straight lines, and a circle breaks that up. It sits under a swivel chair without edges to catch, gives a reading nook a clear middle, and settles beside a bed like a small pool of night sky. Here it also keeps the ring right where your eye lands.

The Design: Ringworld in Midnight Blue

The artwork reads like a watercolor-style illustration, with soft ink lines, gentle washes and touches of antique gold. Midnight navy fills the center, pale blue lights the planet, and moss green carries the land on the inner face of the ring, whose outer hull is a weathered silver-gray. Tiny four-point stars and a dotted orbit line keep the dark space from feeling empty.

Border work is where this piece pulls away from the rest of the catalog. A navy outer band carries silver rings and compass stars. Inside it, a cream band of green scrollwork holds four medallions with pale spires, clusters of hexagon panels, blue crystal diamonds and small mountain vignettes, all repeated in mirror symmetry. Two miniature ringed planets sit on the left and right edges of the center field, like markers on a dial. If you like the style, browse the rest of our Halo rugs for other scenes.

Halo Ring on the Floor

Every rug is cut in a true circle from a soft plush low-pile surface that feels easy underfoot. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the ring stays put when you step on it. The rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. The print is dye-sublimation, which sets the colors into the fibers instead of leaving them on top, so the navy stays deep and the gold stays warm.

Slid under a desk, it works as a chair mat that gives your seat its own patch of night sky. Made to order, it also suits a gaming room rug spot beside a console. Bedrooms work too.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. The small sizes, 80 to 100 cm, make a neat accent rug under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the whole ring stays visible. At 120 to 140 cm the piece fills a reading nook or a console corner. The 160 and 180 cm sizes work as a round area rug at the center of a seating area, and there the border really reads like a star chart.

Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, a good pick for a spot where the chair moves every day.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it; the dye-sublimation print is set into the fibers, so the ring and border keep their depth.

Does it slip on hard floors?

It stays put. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the circle lies flat under a swivel chair.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet, and the circle makes a tidy island for the ringworld in a bedroom or den.

Which size should I choose?

For a desk, choose 80 or 100 cm so the whole ring shows beside the chair. For a seating area, go 160 or 180 cm. If your space sits in between, 120 or 140 cm is the safe middle.
