Raymond Library Round Rug - Animal Crossing Chair Mat

Raymond stands at the heart of this Animal Crossing round rug, the gray cat with swept cream hair, black-framed glasses, one teal eye and one amber eye, and a small book held against his hip. The whole artwork is laid out for the circle, with a scalloped green medallion in the middle, a parchment field around it and a fern border that closes the edge.

A circle changes how a corner feels. It softens the straight lines of a room and gives a desk, a reading chair or a bedside a clear center. Used as a chair mat, it looks like part of the furniture rather than an afterthought.

The Design: A Green Study Medallion

This is a quiet, dark-academia take on Raymond. Instead of a bright island backdrop, the artist built an entire study around him: stacked leather books, pairs of black glasses, brass desk lamps with green shades, pocket watches in diamond frames, steaming coffee cups on saucers and old brass keys. Cream roses and curling ferns wander between the objects, and a paw print sits at the top and bottom of the field like a signature. The palette stays disciplined, built from deep forest green, warm parchment, antique brass and a touch of gray fur. Raymond's vest and tie fit right in, and his mildly unimpressed frown does the rest. Fans of the cat who always looks one step ahead will enjoy how many spectacles are tucked into the pattern. If you like this mood, more Animal Crossing rugs in the shop each take a different angle on the island's residents.

Raymond on the Floor

The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good under bare feet and keeps the fine linework crisp. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors like wood, tile and laminate. Care is easy, because the rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. Dye-sublimation printing sets the colors into the fibers, so the forest greens and brass tones are part of the rug rather than a layer on top. Placed beside a bed, it works as a bedroom rug with a library mood. From 140 cm up it reads as a round area rug for a seating corner. The smaller diameters make a handy accent rug near a bookshelf or a desk.

Sizes & Rug Level

Choose from six diameters: 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm (31.5″ to 70.9″). The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit a spot under a desk chair or beside a bed. At 120 and 140 cm the rug fills a reading nook or a kids' corner nicely. Go to 160 or 180 cm when you want it as the center of a seating area, with the medallion landing in the middle of the room. There are two levels: Standart Level is solid everyday quality, while Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry, and the greens and creams of the study stay as rich as the day it arrived.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so Raymond stays put under a desk chair or beside the bed.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet, which works well for a study corner in a carpeted room.

Which size should I choose?

For a desk, 100 or 120 cm lets the medallion show around the chair. For a reading nook, 140 cm gives the fern border room to breathe.
