Sanguinius Crimson Round Rug - Warhammer 40K Chair Mat

Sanguinius stands at the center of this Warhammer 40K round rug, gold armor lit by a spiked halo while two broad white wings fan out behind him. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a crimson cloak sweeps toward the inner ring, and a border of gold scrollwork, drifting feathers and red teardrop gems wraps all the way around.

A circle softens a square room in a way no rectangle can. Tuck it under a desk and it becomes a chair mat with a cathedral's worth of detail; leave it beside a bed or in front of an armchair and the border frames the floor like a stained-glass window.

The Design: Gilded Angel in Crimson

Everything here is built around red and gold. The field behind the figure is a deep, velvety crimson, worked with gilded vines and ringed by twelve small medallions, each holding either a glowing blood-red drop or a chalice set inside a tiny Gothic arch. Winged emblems mark the top and bottom of the circle. Out on the rim, a charcoal band carries ivory feathers that look as if they just drifted down from his wings.

The warrior himself gets the finest linework: ornate pauldrons, a winged eagle across the breastplate, a skull-faced guard at the knee, and a long golden staff topped with a spearhead held upright at his side. His gaze lifts toward the light. It reads as solemn rather than aggressive, more shrine than battlefield. Fans of the Blood Angels will spot the teardrop symbol repeated all around the border, and anyone browsing more Warhammer 40K rugs will notice how different this calm, ceremonial mood is from the usual grimdark palette.

Sanguinius on the Floor

The round cut follows the printed border exactly, so the design never ends in an awkward crop. Underfoot you get a soft plush, low-pile surface that feels warm on bare feet yet stays slim enough for a chair to glide over. A non-slip rubber backing grips tile, laminate and hardwood, so the rug stays put when you stand up or drag a chair. Colors are applied by dye-sublimation, which sets them into the fibers, so the reds stay deep and the gold stays bright. When it collects dust or a spilled snack, it is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry. It lies flat over low-pile carpet too. As a gaming room rug it suits a streaming corner, a shelf-lined den or a quiet hobby space where painted miniatures wait on the desk.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. The 80 and 100 cm sizes suit the space under a desk chair or beside a bed, and either one makes a bold accent rug without crowding the room. Pick 120 or 140 cm for a reading nook or a hobby corner where the whole figure and halo should stay in view. Go to 160 or 180 cm and it becomes a round area rug at the center of a seating area, with the wings spreading across the floor between sofa and coffee table.

Two levels share the same artwork. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, a good call for a high-traffic spot or a chair that moves all day.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Run it on a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry, and the dye-sublimation print keeps its deep crimson and gold.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate, so the angel stays centered under your chair.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet, and the round edge of the border stays clean and visible.

Which size should I choose?

Go with 100 to 120 cm if you want the whole figure in view under a desk, and 160 cm or more when the rug anchors a room. The central scene is packed with detail, so a larger size shows off the feathers and border even better.

A Gaming Room Statement

• Warhammer 40K fans who want the Blood Angels' golden angel underfoot instead of only on a shelf.
• Tabletop painters who need a calm, ceremonial anchor for the desk, with the full gaming rug range close by for other ideas.
• A bedroom or den built around red and gold that needs one strong centerpiece.
• Gamers who move between fantasy worlds, who can pair it with Elder Scrolls Skyrim mouse pads for a desk that covers more than one setting.
