My son is obsessed with Yu-gi-oh, and so we were both excited to find this rug - which isn't too over-the-top, but more of a subtle nod to his interests. The rug itself feels great. Very happy with the product!

Everything you need to know about our custom area rugs.
Not at all! Both our Standard and Premium rugs feature anti-slip backing that grips securely on any surface. The Standard has faux leather backing, while the Premium uses natural cotton—both designed to stay put on hardwood, tile, laminate, or carpet.
Yes! Our rugs are hand-washable with cold water and mild detergent. For best results, gently spot clean with a damp cloth for small messes. Air dry flat—avoid machine washing to preserve the print quality and backing integrity.
Nope! We use advanced HD sublimation printing technology that bonds the ink directly into the fibers. Your design stays vibrant and won't crack, peel, or fade with regular use. It's also UV-resistant to handle everyday light exposure.
Great news—our rugs work beautifully on virtually any floor type! Hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, concrete, even low-pile carpet. The non-slip backing keeps everything secure without scratching or damaging your floors.
The main difference is in the surface texture. Standard Level features a shiny velvet fabric on top—smooth, lustrous, and perfect for showcasing vibrant prints. Premium Level has a soft plush surface that feels incredibly cozy underfoot. Both have the same quality backing and durability, it's all about your texture preference!

In Detail
Product Description
The Mastermind of the Prologue
Celebrate the most cunning commander of the Viking age with a design dedicated to Askeladd, the mercenary leader who always thinks three moves ahead. Half Dane and half Welsh, he hides his true loyalties behind a lazy smile, playing kings, princes and warbands against each other while young Thorfinn waits for the duel he has been promised. Askeladd is never the strongest man on the battlefield, but he is almost always the smartest, and that sharp, scheming mind is the heart of this rug. It is a deeply meaningful piece for fans who connect with the series' complex characters, making it a standout addition to any collection of Vinland Saga rugs.
A Room Built for Strategy
The design carries the calculated, quietly dangerous energy of its namesake, perfect for creating a focused atmosphere in your room. It celebrates the character who turned the war in England into a chess game, from his schemes around Prince Canute to the hidden pride in his own ancestry. Rather than glorifying the bloodshed, it captures the tension of a mind always working behind the scenes, turning your floor into a canvas of storytelling. It elevates the space from a mere gaming room to a place for planning and reflection, and its strategic theme makes it one of the most thoughtful pieces in our anime rugs.
Grounded Comfort and Durability
Just as Askeladd planned every campaign down to the last detail, this mat is built to support the work you do at your desk. Whether you are grinding through a game or working on a project, the smooth surface allows for effortless chair movement. The material is soft underfoot, providing a layer of comfort for those long sessions, while the anti-slip backing ensures the rug stays rooted to the floor. It is also washable, combining the character of the art with the rugged functionality required for daily use. Carry the strategist's energy up to your desk with our Vinland Saga mouse pads.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this rug only for fans of Vinland Saga? A: Not at all. Fans will recognize Askeladd instantly, but the design works as a bold statement piece in any office, gaming room or study, especially for anyone who loves strategy and history.
Q: Is this rug soft enough to sit on directly? A: Yes. The fabric has a soft, low-pile texture that is comfortable to sit on, making it perfect for meditation or reading, not just for rolling a chair.
Q: How do I remove dust from the dark sections of the rug? A: Regular vacuuming with a non-beater bar attachment is the best way to keep the dark tones looking crisp and dust-free. The low pile prevents dust from getting trapped deep in the fibers.
