Product Description
This Gundam round rug puts the crimson Zaku II front and center, standing tall over a drifting asteroid field with a battered space colony behind its shoulder. The artwork is laid out for the circle: the mobile suit anchors the middle, and rings of Zeon crests, axes and tumbling rocks wrap around it like a stained-glass window.
A circle behaves differently from a rectangle. It softens the corners of a square room, sits under a desk chair and gives a shelf of model kits a proper stage. Under a desk it also works as a chair mat for long late-night sessions.
The Design: Crimson Over Asteroids
Color drives this piece. The Zaku's red armor is the loudest thing on the rug, set against deep navy space dusted with small stars and warm gold linework. Behind the suit, a weathered colony ship drifts among cratered rocks, and the pale edge of a planet peeks in near one boot. Nothing here is soft or pastel. It is a night-battle palette.
Out toward the rim, the pattern turns ornamental. Four Zeon crests sit in red roundels at the compass points, with glowing pink sensor eyes between them, horned helmets, crossed axes and flame-like crimson streaks circling the border in gold-edged bands. The mecha-meets-ornament framing gives it the feel of a ceremonial insignia instead of a poster, and that is what separates it from a plain character print.
