Product Description
Charizard rears back with wings spread and a plume of flame streaming from its open jaws, and this Pokemon round rug frames the moment like a page from an illuminated manuscript. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a cream medallion holds the dragon at the center while rings of fire, volcanoes and gemstones spread out to a gold-dotted edge in orange, teal, crimson and cream.
A circle behaves differently on the floor than a rectangle does. It softens the hard corners of a square room and gives a gaming corner a clear center without crowding the walls. Under a desk chair it works as a chair mat with far more personality than a plain plastic one.
The Design: Illuminated Volcano Border
The style borrows from old Persian-style book ornament rather than the usual battle-poster look. Charizard's teal wings pick up the deep teal that fills the background, so the dragon feels woven into the pattern instead of pasted on top. Flame scrolls curl around the medallion in layers of amber and scarlet, and the tail flame glows bright against the cream.
