Chun-Li launches a high kick straight through a crowded night market, blue chi trailing off her white boots like ribbon, on this Chun-Li MTG playmat. Red paper lanterns hang everywhere above her. Street vendors keep cooking. Nobody in the crowd seems surprised.
Warm orange and red glow fills the left side from the stalls and lanterns, while a cool blue swirl of energy sweeps across the right. On the table, that gives you two distinct areas of color without any harsh edges. Her focused face, upper left, is where the eye starts before following the kick across.
The Art: Lantern Market Watercolor
Ink outlines lock down the gold trim on her qipao, the spiked bracelets and the laced boots, then watercolor floods in: lantern orange, cobalt blue, warm skin tones and dusty street greys. Background figures are painted loosely so they never compete with her. Gold flecks run along the energy streams.
