Clone Trooper Medallion Round Rug - Star Wars Chair Mat

This Star Wars round rug turns the Galactic Republic into an illuminated medallion, with a gold cogwheel crest glowing at the center of a deep navy and crimson field. Senate domes, Jedi Order emblems, twin blue lightsabers and a fleet of cruisers circle the crest, and every motif is laid out for the circle so nothing is cropped at the edge. Clone trooper helmets with orange and blue markings march around the black border in a steady rhythm.

A circle behaves differently from a rectangle on the floor. It softens the corners of a square room, gives a gaming corner a clear center, and settles under a desk chair without awkward edges. Tucked there, it works as a chair mat with far more personality than plain vinyl.

The Design: Illuminated Republic Medallion

The artwork borrows the look of an illuminated manuscript page and an old carpet medallion, then fills it with Clone Wars-era imagery. At the heart, a gold Republic crest sits on a crimson lobed shape, wrapped in scrollwork of leaves and tiny stars. Four cartouches at the top, bottom and sides hold pale Senate domes with spires, while a narrow blue lightsaber stands upright on each flank.

Look closer and the corners tell their own stories. Two crimson panels at the top carry Republic transport ships in flight, and the lower pair show trooper captains in white helmets with orange and blue paint. Long navy panels between them hold star cruisers drifting through a starfield. The palette stays tight: navy, brick red, antique gold and bone white, all traced in a fine gold line. It is a quieter, more ornamental take on the saga than a character portrait. If you like that angle, more Star Wars rugs in the shop cover other characters and scenes.

Clone Trooper on the Floor

The cut is a true circle, and the surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good under bare feet. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors so the medallion stays centered. The print is dye-sublimation, which sets the colors into the fibers instead of sitting on top, so the gold and crimson keep their depth through daily use. When life gets messy, this rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry it.

A gaming room rug with this much detail gives the whole setup a focal point. The larger sizes work as a round area rug that anchors a seating area. Smaller ones make a handy accent rug beside a bed or a shelf of collectibles.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) up to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. Choose 80 to 100 cm under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the helmet border stays easy to spot. Go 120 to 140 cm for a reading nook or a kids' corner. Pick 160 to 180 cm to make the medallion the center of a seating area.

Two levels are offered. Standart is solid everyday quality, while Premium brings a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it, and the dye-sublimation print keeps the navy and gold sharp.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate, so the Republic crest stays put under a desk chair.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet, which is handy if you want the medallion in a carpeted bedroom or den.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 or 100 cm for a desk and 160 or 180 cm for a seating area. The full medallion with its helmet border reads best from 120 cm up.
