This Star Wars round rug turns the Galactic Republic into an illuminated medallion, with a gold cogwheel crest glowing at the center of a deep navy and crimson field. Senate domes, Jedi Order emblems, twin blue lightsabers and a fleet of cruisers circle the crest, and every motif is laid out for the circle so nothing is cropped at the edge. Clone trooper helmets with orange and blue markings march around the black border in a steady rhythm.
A circle behaves differently from a rectangle on the floor. It softens the corners of a square room, gives a gaming corner a clear center, and settles under a desk chair without awkward edges. Tucked there, it works as a chair mat with far more personality than plain vinyl.
The Design: Illuminated Republic Medallion
The artwork borrows the look of an illuminated manuscript page and an old carpet medallion, then fills it with Clone Wars-era imagery. At the heart, a gold Republic crest sits on a crimson lobed shape, wrapped in scrollwork of leaves and tiny stars. Four cartouches at the top, bottom and sides hold pale Senate domes with spires, while a narrow blue lightsaber stands upright on each flank.
Look closer and the corners tell their own stories.
