Most of the palette stays cool, navy and slate and ice blue, with a bright burst behind his head and a toxic-green glow pooling at the lower right. The Art: Mako Storm Blues

Thick indigo washes build the clouds in swirls, then hairline gold outlines run along his armor, belt and the blade's edge so the figure pops off the storm. The sword is huge here, filling the whole left corner with scratched steel and those two familiar holes near the hilt. Compared with clean promo-style Cloud art, this version feels rougher and wetter, like paint still drying. Fans of anime-style watercolor will get a lot out of the close detail on his face.
