A Death Star hangs at the heart of this Star Wars round rug, a gray sphere with its dish crater near the upper edge and the Imperial crest sealed in a red ring across its face. TIE fighters, Star Destroyers, small dark moons and crimson banners drift around it on a navy starfield, and every element is laid out for the circle so nothing is cropped or stretched. The result reads like a ceremonial carpet drawn by someone who spent too long in the Imperial archives.
On the floor, a circle behaves differently from a rectangle. It softens the hard corners of a square room, fills the space beside a bed or in front of an armchair, and under a desk it works as a Star Wars chair mat with no corners to catch a swiveling wheel. Here the radial layout means the artwork looks right from every seat and every doorway.
The Design: Imperial Persian Medallion
The artist borrowed the bones of a Persian carpet and filled them with the Empire. A red and gold cartouche with four pointed lobes frames the Death Star, each lobe tipped with a faceted red gem and trimmed in antique-gold scrollwork. Small crest roundels sit at the diagonals. Outside it, Star Destroyers cruise in the four corners of the field, TIE fighters stand in pairs, and thin red light streaks radiate toward the border like spokes.
The outer ring is the showpiece: trooper helmets in gold-rimmed medallions alternate with crest roundels, red gems and curling gold vines against near-black.
