A white duck shoves its big pink bill right up to the viewer, standing in the middle of an empty road that stretches to the horizon. This Duck Face MTG playmat is a close-up nobody asked for and everybody needs. Tiny eyes, huge beak, total confidence. A single blade of grass hangs from its mouth. Honestly, it looks like it owns the road.
Soft blue-gray asphalt covers most of the mat, with a yellow center line leading straight to the duck's head. Pale washed shoulders on both sides frame the road. Cards placed on that even gray surface read clearly.
The Art: Roadside Close-Up
Loose watercolor in rose, coral and cream builds the duck's bill, while ink lines pick out the nostrils and smile. The road is painted in streaky grays with bright white edge lines.
