A grand gold damask medallion blooms at the center of this emerald baroque mahjong mat, dense acanthus scrolls, fleur-de-lis and a central rosette worked in gilt over a deep emerald ground, corner flourishes and pearl-dot lines balancing the square. A fleur-de-lis band steps out to a crown-and-scroll border in gold.
It reads regal and formal. The rich green ground makes the gold shimmer, tiles read clearly against it, and the crowned border frames the play like a palace panel. Guests get a jewel-box, throne-room feeling right away.
The Art: Gilt Damask
The medallion is built from layered acanthus scrolls, fleur-de-lis and a rosette center in burnished gold, strung with pearl dots over emerald in the baroque damask tradition. A fleur-de-lis band frames the panel, and the outer border alternates small crowns with gold scrollwork.
