An ornate silver sword stands upright in a field of pink cosmos, its blade half hidden by petals, no owner anywhere in sight. This Fallen Sword MTG playmat tells a whole story without a single character: a warrior's rest, a battle long over, flowers grown up around what was left behind. Quiet and a little sad.
Pink dominates the lower two-thirds of the mat in every shade from blush to magenta. Misty sage trees fill the top edge and fade into white. The sword sits dead center, so cards placed to either side frame it naturally.
The Art: Pink Cosmos Memorial
Loose watercolor petals, spattered and layered, build the flower field, while fine ink lines pick out stamens and petal veins in the foreground. Engraved scrollwork on the crossguard and hilt is drawn in careful detail. Gold leaf flecks drift through the trees and outline the hilt.
