Product Description
Groudon crouches at the center of this Pokemon round rug, jaws open, white claws planted on a floor of cracked black rock and glowing lava. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a sunburst of flame rays fans out behind the Legendary, and rings of volcanoes, desert dunes and gold-trimmed sun medallions wrap the rim in deep teal. Heat in the middle, cool sea-green at the edge.
A circle gives a square room something soft to rest its eyes on. Slide it under a desk and it works as a chair mat that happens to be a piece of art, or set it beside a bed so the first thing your feet find in the morning is a lava field. It also fills a reading nook or a console corner without the hard corners of a rectangle.
The Design: Lava and Gold Ornament
This one reads like an illuminated manuscript page that happens to be about the Hoenn titan. Groudon's crimson armor plates carry thick black ring markings, the gray belly gives the eye a calm patch, and the dorsal spikes fan out to the right in hard red points. Behind him the sky is a wall of orange flame, with lava streams running down charcoal peaks.
Past the inner ring the pattern turns ceremonial. Four erupting volcanoes sit at the diagonals, sunburst medallions mark the compass points, and sand dunes with a low orange sun fill the gaps between them. Flame-curl motifs and ruby orbs travel around a teal ground traced in gold scrollwork.
