Two serpents charge up a roaring cascade on this Gyarados waterfall mouse pad, one crimson and one blue, jaws open wide as their long bodies coil past a red torii gate and a shrine perched on the cliff. The Gyarados waterfall desk mat fills in the rest of the story with tiny Magikarp leaping up the falls beside them, all beneath a bright blue sky and rolling clouds.

Few transformations in the series hit as hard as a flopping Magikarp turning into a furious Gyarados. That leap draws on the old East Asian tale of a carp that swims up a waterfall and becomes a dragon, and this artwork puts the myth right on the page. The ukiyo-e-influenced linework, the torii and the temple ground the scene in a classic Japanese landscape.
