Product Description
Kangaskhan stands tall on golden savanna grass, its little one peeking out of the pouch, as an enormous swirling sun of red, orange and violet sets behind the acacia trees. This Pokemon poster is a warm portrait of a protective parent, painted in loose watercolour on aged paper with a red cartouche at the upper right. Each copy is made to order.
Tender and full of warmth, it makes lovely nursery wall art, a thoughtful piece for a family room or a gift for a new parent.
The Artwork: Sunset on the Savanna
The sun is painted as a huge disc of swirling wet colour, red bleeding into orange and purple, like a hand-made marbled paper. Black silhouettes of flat-topped acacia trees stretch across the horizon. The grass below is a wash of ochre and rust, with dry-brush strokes for individual blades. Much of the cream paper is left bare at the top and edges, giving the piece room to breathe. Kangaskhan is drawn in chocolate brown with a golden belly, and the baby's small face is the emotional centre. In this collection, it is the only savanna scene, and the most family-themed.
