This Valorant round rug places Killjoy at the heart of an ornamental medallion: yellow beanie, round glasses, mustard jacket, a tablet in both hands, her turret standing guard on one side and a little Alarmbot on the other. The whole piece is laid out for the circle, from the teal circuit-board backdrop behind her to the ring of cogs, stars and tiny bots around the rim.
A circle softens the hard corners of a gaming nook. Tucked under a desk, it works as a chair mat that marks out your spot without the boxy look of a rectangle. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair it simply lands as a warm yellow disc on the floor.
The Design: Gold Filigree, Teal Circuitry
Think of a classic carpet drawn by someone who loves gadgets. The structure is traditional: a lobed cream-and-gold center, a black field of curling vines and a wide mustard border. The twist is what fills it. Where you would expect flowers, there are lightbulbs, crossed wrenches, cogs, scrolls, knit beanies and round spectacles, repeated in mirrored pairs around Killjoy.
The linework has the loose, inky feel of a watercolor sketch, with mottled patches of aged color that keep the gold from looking flat.
