Product Description
Kurapika stands at the center of this Hunter x Hunter round rug, one hand raised as chains spiral away from his fingertips and his eyes burn scarlet. The artwork is laid out for the circle, with an illuminated-manuscript field of blue leaves and gold scrollwork sitting inside a ring of chain links and ruby-red gems.
A circle softens the hard corners of a room in a way a rectangle never does. Slide it under a desk chair and it works as a chair mat that keeps the portrait in view while you swivel, or set it by a bookshelf where the open-book motifs feel at home. Both placements suit it.
The Design: Illuminated Chains, Scarlet Eyes
This one reads like a page from a medieval prayer book that happens to hold a Hunter. The ground is warm cream with faint aged speckling, and the ornament is worked in deep navy and burnished gold, with small red accents repeated like jewels. Eyes with red irises sit in the foliage at every compass point, a quiet nod to Kurapika's most recognizable trait. Gold crosses, open books and eight-point stars fill the gaps between the vines.
The chains are the star detail. Silver links loop out from his raised hand and curl through the scrollwork on both sides, ending in a hook, a pointed tip and a cross-shaped pendant. His blue tabard with gold trim and the looping mark on the skirt are drawn in the same navy and gold as the pattern, so he belongs to the ornament instead of floating on top of it.
