Master Emerald Shrine Round Rug - Sonic Chair Mat

The Master Emerald glows at the heart of this Sonic round rug, a giant green gem hovering over a stepped stone shrine while a ring of smaller gems waits on vine-wrapped pillars around it. Everything is laid out for the circle: a deep royal blue field, gold scrollwork and a wreath of leaves that follow the edge from every angle.

A round shape behaves differently from a rectangle. It softens a square room, gives a desk area a clear center and lets you walk around it without catching a corner. Tucked under a desk chair, it works as a chair mat for a gaming setup, and nobody has to line up edges.

The Design: Shrine Among the Clouds

Pull your eye into the middle and you find a sky-blue window onto floating rock islands, waterfalls spilling off their edges and light rays fanning out from the great green gem. It is calm and bright, with a little mystery.

Around that window the artwork turns ornamental. Four oval frames repeat the cloudscape with mossy cliffs and falling water, while cream-and-gold cartouches at the compass points each hold another emerald. Gold rings, the kind every Sonic fan collects on instinct, are scattered through the navy ground and again around the border. Weathered stone pillars with carved markings stand between them, wrapped in ivy.

The palette is disciplined. Navy and emerald carry most of the surface, gold ties it together, and small flashes of red, purple, orange, cyan and yellow gems keep the eye moving. It feels closer to a tiled palace floor than a typical game print, and that is what sets it apart.

Master Emerald Shrine on the Floor

The rug is cut in a true circle, so the pattern stays centered wherever you place it. Its soft plush low-pile surface feels good underfoot. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as tile, laminate and hardwood. Color comes from dye-sublimation printing, which sets the blues and greens into the fibers instead of sitting on top. When it needs a refresh, it is machine washable: a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry.

In a bedroom or a game den, it makes a bold gaming room rug without needing anything else on the walls. In a smaller space, the 80 cm and 100 cm sizes act as an accent rug beside a bed or under a desk. The larger sizes read as a round area rug that anchors a whole seating area. It also lies flat over low-pile carpet.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) up to 180 cm (70.9″): 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm. Choose 80 to 100 cm under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the central gem stays visible. Go for 120 to 140 cm in a reading nook or a kids' corner. At 160 to 180 cm the rug becomes the center of a seating area, and the four framed windows have room to breathe.

Two levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, a sensible pick for a spot with heavy chair traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and air-dry it; the gems and gold rings stay bright because the color is set into the fibers.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No. The rubber backing grips tile, laminate and hardwood, so the shrine stays put when you step on the edge.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet, which gives a desk or play area a clearly defined spot.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 100 cm for a desk chair, 140 cm for a corner of the room and 180 cm to build a seating area around the Master Emerald. The detail in the central window looks best when most of the center stays clear of furniture.
