Product Description
This Hatsune Miku round rug shows Miku standing full-length in a soft sakura palette, her pink twin-tails sweeping down and outward in long ribbons while she holds a spray of cherry blossom close. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a cream center field of vines, petals and music notes, ringed by a coral border of blossoms and paired cherries. Everything stays in pink, sage green and warm ivory.
A circle softens a square room, and this one does it gently. Put it under a desk and it doubles as a chair mat with far more personality than plain gray felt. It also fits a reading nook, or the spot beside a bed where bare feet land first thing in the morning.
The Design: Sakura, Cherries and Music
The whole piece is built like a spring garden set to music. Miku's hair and outfit melt into the same blush pinks as the petals around her, so she seems to grow out of the vines rather than sit on top of them. Four small medallions at the compass points each hold a pair of headphones, and between them treble clefs and eighth notes drift upward like notes carried on the breeze.
Cherry pairs sit inside curling green vine wreaths in the corners of the center field, then repeat all the way around the outer border, alternating with five-petal blossoms. Sage green outlines keep the pink from going sugary. The mood is calm, a little nostalgic, and very much a love letter to the sakura version of the character.
