Minas Tirith Citadel Round Rug - Lord of the Rings Chair Mat

Minas Tirith climbs ring by ring from the rim to the middle of this Lord of the Rings round rug, its pale walls rising toward a lone citadel tower and the White Tree glowing at the heart. The whole scene is laid out for the circle, with the city as a bullseye and a dark field wound with gold vines wrapped around it. Ivory, black and forest green carry the eye outward.

A circle suits a city built in rings. Under a desk it frames the chair like a little fortress plan, and in a reading nook it gives the corner a focal point that square rugs rarely manage. Beside a bed it softens the hard lines of the room.

The Design: Concentric White City

This is a map-like illustration, drawn in the muted tones of an aged manuscript rather than a bright poster. Hundreds of tiny rooftops, pale battlements and dark green trees fill each tier, while a gray spine of rock splits the city and leads up to the tower. Around it, the black field holds gold vine scrollwork, four White Tree medallions under their arcs of stars, winged crowns, winged helms, upright blades, a signal horn and four small peaks with orange flame at their tips. The outer band is deep green, studded with white watchtowers and eight-point stars. Fans who want to build a whole Middle-earth set can look through other Lord of the Rings rugs for companions to this one.

Minas Tirith on the Floor

The round cut keeps the city perfectly centered whichever way you walk into the room. Its soft plush low-pile surface feels gentle underfoot, yet the fine rooftop lines stay crisp. A non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the rug stays put. When it gets dusty or someone spills a drink, the rug is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dried. The dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers, so the gold vines and green border do not sit on top like a coating.

Slide a desk chair onto it and it works as a chair mat with a whole kingdom of detail underneath. In a den, the same piece reads as a gaming room rug with a calm, storybook mood. Lying flat, it also sits comfortably over low-pile carpet.

Sizes & Rug Level

Six diameters are available, from 80 cm (31.5″) to 180 cm (70.9″). Choose 80 to 100 cm under a desk chair or beside a bed, where the citadel at the center stays visible. At 120 to 140 cm it fills a reading nook or a kid's corner, and a small one can serve as an accent rug by an armchair. Go 160 to 180 cm if you want the city to anchor a seating area, since the full ring of tiers only shows when there is room to see it.

Two quality levels are offered. Standart Level is solid everyday quality for daily use. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing for heavier traffic.

Quick Questions

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Use a gentle cold cycle and let it air-dry, and the printed city keeps its tone.

Does it slip on hard floors?

No, the rubber backing grips wood, tile and laminate. A desk chair can sit on the White Tree without the rug wandering.

Can I put it over carpet?

Yes, it lies flat over low-pile carpet. Very thick shag underneath may make the edges curl a little.

Which size should I choose?

Pick 80 to 100 cm for a desk or bedside, 120 to 140 cm for a nook, and 160 to 180 cm for a living room. Larger sizes show more of the tiny rooftop detail.
