Moltres sweeps low over a range of smoking volcanoes, wings blazing with gold-flecked flame and a trail of embers scattering into the dusk. This Pokemon poster shows the legendary fire bird above a landscape of pine-covered cliffs and a burning red sky, with a red cartouche and seals at the upper right. Each copy is made to order.
The scene balances drama with a classic landscape layout, so it works as wall art for living room walls over a sofa as well as in a game room. Mountain lovers will enjoy the view even without knowing the bird.
The Artwork: Fire Over the Volcanoes
The upper sky is deep black, dotted with gold-leaf stars and gold-edged clouds that curl in classic scroll shapes. It deepens into a vivid vermilion band where two volcanoes send up plumes of grey smoke. In the foreground, steep green cliffs and twisted pines are drawn with fine Chinese-style brushwork, and mist fills the valleys between them. Moltres is painted in crimson and orange with real gold accents in its flames. Paired with the Zapdos print in this collection, it makes two of the legendary bird trio, and this is the most landscape-driven of the two.
