Mudkip wades through a ripple pool at the center of this Pokemon round rug, grinning with its orange cheek fins spread wide. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a scalloped medallion frames the little water starter, and rings of cattails, lily pads and droplets spin outward to a deep teal border.
A circle softens a square room in a way a rectangle never does. Slid under a desk, it works as a chair mat that lets a seat swivel without catching an edge. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair, it gives the floor one calm focal point.
The Design: Water Garden Medallion
