Nanami stands at the center of this Jujutsu Kaisen round rug with one hand in his pocket, a tan suit pressed flat, green-tinted glasses and a leopard-print tie, while a spotted wrapped blade hangs from his other hand. Behind him a palm-lined beach glows under orange sun rays, and the whole artwork is laid out for the circle, with rings of croissants, wristwatches, coffee cups and briefcases circling him like a carpet medallion.
A circle softens the hard corners of a square room. Under a desk chair it works as a chair mat with a sunset at its heart, and beside a bed or in front of an armchair it gives the floor a warm focal point. Because the ornament repeats all the way around, the design looks right from whichever side you walk up to it.
The Design: Office Worker's Daydream
The idea here is a sorcerer's off-hours fantasy. Nanami is the salaryman of the series, so the border is built from his small comforts: fresh bread, a cup of coffee, a leather briefcase, a wristwatch checking the hour. Everything sits inside scrolling vines and star-shaped ornaments in olive green, cream and burnt orange, like an old printed tile, but drawn with clean manga linework.
Spotted blades sit in olive panels at the four diagonals, and leopard ties run up and down the vertical axis, so the palette stays warm and tan with dark green as the accent. The center stays quiet while the edges stay busy, which suits a character known for calm, tired and dependable energy.
