A white blast dome swells over Neo-Tokyo at the heart of this Akira round rug, framed by a scalloped red medallion. Around it, red motorcycles, capsule pills, satellites and searchlight helicopters repeat in a ring, so the artwork is laid out for the circle rather than cropped into it. Navy, crimson and cold white carry every inch.
Round shapes break up the hard corners of a desk setup. Slide this one under a gaming chair and it works as a chair mat with a story; set it in front of an armchair and the medallion anchors a reading corner.
The Design: Carpet Meets Cyberpunk
Most Akira art goes straight for Kaneda. This piece borrows the language of a classic Persian carpet, with borders, rosettes and mirrored cartouches, and fills it with the film's imagery. Neon towers glow pink and teal against deep navy. Look closer. Every bike, pill and satellite sits in its own mirrored frame, reading as ornament from across the room and as fan detail up close.
Neo-Tokyo on the Floor
The round cut keeps the medallion whole. Underfoot you get a soft plush low-pile surface that lets a chair roll freely, and the non-slip rubber backing grips laminate, tile and wood. It is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry. Dye-sublimation printing sets the crimson into the fibers.
