A half red leaf sits at the heart of a cream disc, its left side left blank and its right side drawn in rust-red veins, and the whole scene is set like stone inlay. This Evangelion round rug is laid out for the circle: eight lances, crescent moons, faceted crystals and eye-marked triangles repeat around the crest so the pattern holds up from every side. Nothing is cropped from a square.
Circles behave differently from rectangles on a floor. They soften the hard corners of a desk area, tuck under a swivel chair without fuss, and give a bedside a clear focal point that does not crowd the walkway. Here the pattern asks to be seen from above, so a spot in front of a shelf or beneath a chair suits it well.
The Design: Inlaid Crest in Rust
The look borrows from pietra dura tabletops and illuminated manuscripts rather than from a standard poster pose. The ground is a warm parchment cream with a faint aged mottling. Around the crest runs a scalloped ring of orange octagon beads edged in black and gold, and beyond it a dark border carries red leaves and more orange beads on twisting vines. Four-pointed stars mark the compass points, while dark red crystals and crescent moons fill the gaps between them. The triangles hold small clusters of eyes, a quiet and slightly uneasy detail that fans of the series will spot at once. Four red double-pronged lances run along the diagonals, each one a thin line of color pointing back toward the center.
