Product Description
At the heart of this Lord of the Rings round rug, one gold ring glows inside a molten orange medallion, as if it just left the forge. Bands of gem-set gold rings, silver rings and dark iron rings circle outward from it, and the whole composition is laid out for the circle, so no part of the artwork is cropped. Anvils, hammers and jagged peaks fill the spaces in between.
A circle gives a design built around a center somewhere to breathe. Slide it under a desk and it works as a chair mat that keeps the glowing ring in view; set it in a reading nook and the medallion becomes the point everything else gathers around.
The Design: Rings Around the Fire
Look closely and the rug reads like a map of rings, ordered from the fire outward. Next to the center sits a navy band of silver rings set with a ruby, a sapphire and a pale white stone, each tucked between sprigs of leaves. Beyond it, a deep red band holds gold rings with green, blue, orange and red gems, split up by little anvils and hammers. The third band turns charcoal, with plain engraved iron rings resting between snowy mountains and eight-point stars.
Then comes the border. Forest green carries a gold chain, leaf scrolls and small hoops that repeat around the edge like links. The palette stays disciplined: oxblood, navy, charcoal and green, all lit by old gold, with the orange blaze in the middle as the only truly hot spot. That contrast sets this piece apart from a plain ring logo, because it reads as metalwork and heraldry, closer to an illuminated shield than a print.
