This RX-78-2 Gundam TCG playmat is for the second group, a Federation engineering sheet rendered in watercolor, the White Devil's head and torso front and center under giant stencil type while spec tables, beam saber callouts and core block diagrams fill the navy field around it. E.F.S.F. crests anchor both corners. Caution labels dot the armor exactly where a hangar crew would slap them.
Documentation style turns out to be superb table design. The navy background sits flat and even under cards, the pale technical linework never competes with sleeve art, and the centered bust gives the surface a clean vertical axis.
The Art: Reading the White Devil
Typography does half the painting's work, tall stencil numerals behind the head, dense annotation columns down both margins, tiny placard text across the chest and shoulders. Under it all the watercolor keeps things human, the navy wash pooling and blooming like real ink on real paper, gold thread edging the big letterforms.
