Slowbro stands on warm sand with a big open-mouthed grin, completely unbothered by the Shellder clamped onto its tail, while turquoise waves roll in behind. This Pokemon poster is a holiday postcard in ukiyo-e form, framed by palm fronds and red hibiscus and finished with a red cartouche at the upper right. It is made to order.
Bright, sunny and a little silly, it lifts a room straight away. It works as wall art for living room spaces, a beach house, a kitchen or a kids' room, and it pairs well with rattan and light wood.
The Artwork: Hibiscus and Blue Sky
A deep cobalt sky fills the top half, flat and saturated like a printed woodblock, with puffy white clouds outlined in curling ink. Palm leaves hang in from both upper corners, painted frond by frond. The sea is a band of teal and white foam, and the sand below is a warm ochre wash. Clusters of red hibiscus, each with a long stamen, frame the lower corners. Slowbro's soft pink and Shellder's khaki shell sit right in the middle.
