This Star Wars round rug puts a single Star Destroyer at the center of the floor, its gray wedge hull pointing up through a scalloped window of deep space with blue engine glow at the base. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a starfield medallion holds the Death Star and three small moons, and a navy-and-gold carpet pattern fills every inch around it.
Circles soften square rooms. Slide a chair over this one and it works as a chair mat for a desk or gaming corner, with the cruiser's tip pointing toward the monitor. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair, the medallion reads as a small centerpiece instead.
The Design: Gilded Fleet Medallion
The idea here is an heirloom carpet that happens to be filled with the Empire. Gold vines and leaves scroll across a navy field, borrowing the look of a classic Persian rug, but the motifs are all Star Wars: TIE fighters in mirrored pairs, green radar discs, little blue planets on the diagonals and Imperial crests at the compass points. A black outer band carries more cruisers and crests, edged with a fine gold braid. The palette is restrained, mostly navy, antique gold and cool metallic gray, with small hits of green and blue.
